Joan & Ron Long 65th Wedding Anniversary Joan (née Scott) and Ron started their married life together on 23rd July 1955 when they both said “I do” at Emmanuel Church in Bestwood Park. Joan has been putting up with Ron’s antics for 65 years, and they’re still going strong! Ron, originally from Bestwood, and Joan, from Bulwell, settled in Calverton over 60 years ago where they both took part in village life and brought up their two daughters. Since then, the family has grown to include two sons-in-law, four granddaughters, one grandson-in-law and one great grandson.
